Tanya Tucker Plans Album of Country Classics in June

Tanya Tucker will release a new album of country cover songs, titled My Turn, on June 2 on Saguaro Road Records. The album was produced by Pete Anderson. He also plays guitar on each track. Guests include the Grascals, Jim Lauderdale, Darren Vincent and Rhonda Vincent. “I picked the songs my daddy always wanted me to sing,” Tucker said. “This is really a tribute to him because he was with me throughout my entire career. He’s now with God above, but I know he’s watching over me still and loving these songs and this record.” Selections include “Wine Me Up,” “Lovesick Blues,” “Love’s Gonna Live Here,” “Crazy Arms,” “After the Fire Is Gone,” “I Love You a Thousand Ways,” “Big Big Love,” “Walk Through This World With Me,” “Oh, Lonesome Me,” “You Don’t Know Me,” “Ramblin’ Fever” and “Is Anybody Goin’ to San Antone?”

Country star Tanya Tucker hopes to return to the charts with the June 2 release of “My Turn,” featuring covers of songs made famous by Buck Owens, Merle Haggard, George Jones and other male country legends. Tucker had quit recording after her dad, Beau, died in 2006.
