Edwin McCain “Walk With You,” An Inspiration
Saguaro received this touching email from an Edwin McCain fan:
“I just wanted to let you know I am getting married July 10, 2010 in Inman South Carolina. I have had my song for my dad and myself since before I even got engaged. It is “I loved her first” by Heartland. But, the other day I came across one of your songs “Walk with me” and it just brought tears to me. In 2004 my dad was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and it was my wish that before he got real bad I would get married, and he would walk me down the isle. My wish has came true he is doing good but, he has his really bad days.
He still tells me that I am his baby, and the song could not fit us any better. I want to thank you for writing this song to share this moment with my daddy. I just wished that you could actually be there on this special day and sing it. Once again thank you from the bottom of my heart for having this song written as this point in my life. May God bless you in everything that you do.”
