Bo Bice On The Road…
For all those Bo fans, he’s been on the road promoting his radio single “You Take Yourself With You.”
So far, he’s visited stations in Nashville, Charlotte, Tampa Bay, St. Petersburg, Orlando, Atlanta, Sarasota, Miami, and Ft. Meyers.
Bo is working extremely hard. Please chime in if you’ve heard his song on the radio and tell us what your experience has been like.
I guess I’ll be the first post.
First off, I want to say that Saguaro Road and Mike Borchetta are doing a bang up job on getting Bo’s name out there. I’m a happy camper, because Bo really does deserve for America to hear and experience him again.
To answer your question, I’m sorry to say that I have not been lucky enough to hear YTYWY on the radio yet. But I keep listening. Bo’s coming out to California next week and it would be really great to hear a promo on my local classic rock and country radio stations, both owned by Citadel. The rock station always has events for the Speedway. The country station….well the DJ probably thinks I’m a Bophanattic since I call to request Bo’s new single all the time. She says they don’t have it yet. What up wtih that? The Speedway Bo’s performing at can draw in quite the crowd. Please…please see if you can make some type of promo happen!

but I continue to request (only once a day, don’t want to be a pest). I see that “You Take Yourself With You” is moving up the charts, a little too slowly to suit me, but then I am a Peep and when it comes to Bo we are not patient.

I agree with Becky Jo, Bo and Mike are doing a great job in Florida. We are following the radio and television appearances and it seem to me that Bo is getting a great reception. If Bo wants to stop off in Raleigh, he can hang at my local country station WQDR

BTW: I hear that Becky Jo heard that promo on radio for Bo @ the Speedway today, that's almost like magic.
I heard “You Take Yourself With You” once on KIX 92.9 in Punta Gorda when the DJ was interviewing Bo. Haven’t heard it on any other stations yet.
I just attended the LiveLounge at WIRK today where the DJ was telling Mike Borchetta that he thought Bo’s CD was great. I took the opportunity to tell him that I hoped that meant I would start hearing the single played on WIRK from today on.
Bo and Mike are doing a wonderful job of hitting all the stations here in Florida and they are working hard. I hope to begin hearing some of these station play “You Take Yoursel With You”.
First of all I can’t thank you enough for doing so much getting Bo’s name out there. He’s such a special, talented man, and deserves all good things coming his way.
Now unfortunately, even though I’ve been sending in requests for YTYWY to our country station WBEE 92.5 (Rochester, NY) 4 or 5x’s a week, I still haven’t heard it,
but I’m keeping my fingers crossed that I’ll be hearing it soon. 
I have been requesting Bo on my local station 95.1 cat country colorado springs no luck can you see if they have single? and also we have 96.9 kccy here to please i want to her Bo he deserves it!
Bo has always been a hard worker, has a good work ethic. And Mike B is doing a bang-up job!! Gosh, they must have visited every ratio station in FL. I don’t listen to much radio, but for Bo I would tune in for sure. I’m in CT, but you’d be surprised at all the country type fans in the Northeast. Hopefully it will start getting spins and catch on, it sure deserves to, it’s a great song. I went to a BBBBQ when he was radio touring for The Real Thing, come back up, Bo, CT loves you!
Any opportunity for Bo to come to Virgina? I heard YTYWY got a spin in Richmond last week and I was wondering if Virginia is his next stop on the radio tour. It just makes sense to me because Saguaro Road Headquarters are located in Fairfax, Virginia. Everyone knows we love Bo up north. My country station WMZQ FM can use some new songs. Can I say PLEASE!?
I have requested here in Ft. Wayne .. When I called the DJ . was vague and would not commit one way or the other. I was very nice to him and Thanked him. Then they asked us later in the day to text in our requests. I did and I was told they would play it in a text but they didn’t .
. I think you guys are all doing a great job. I am not sure why it is so tough to get radio play but we won’t give up.
KUZZ in Bakersfield, California played You Take Yourself With You this morning at 8:03. It was magnificent to hear.
Iam still requesting Bo on 95.1 colorado springs although it is online request due to my job.Still haven’t heard Bo. can you put bug in there ear?
I have been requesting since 6/21/10 and sending emails to my local station. I recently sent them a note asking how to get Bo’s single on their play list and received this response today.
“The process isn’t quite as cruel as perhaps you’ve heard, but we do hold the songs we play on the radio to the highest standard. Esentially we want to know that our listeners as a whole will like a song.
This begins with emails from fans (like yours) and then we test songs on Facebook, and through our listener advisory board at http://www.947qdr.com I don’t think I’ve tested Bo on the latter as we’re limited to how many songs we can test.
Ultimately Bo’s record label or promotion company is going to have to go to work for the song as well. So far this hasn’t happened much as far as i can tell, but it’s still early.
Many people wonder why we can’t just give it one play on air, and this is because there are a thousand new songs from new artists on new labels that all one “just one spin.” We try to treat them all fairly.
I hope I’ve helped. I promise that if the song proves to be a hit, QDR will begin playing it.”
I will continue to request, but it looks like they want to hear from Bo’s label or promotion company. Do you have any more suggestions?
